For the coffee lovers out there, you probably have one or two cafe-loyalty cards stuffed somewhere in that wallet of yours. Perhaps you’ve got a pre-paid coffee program card half-used, or a couple of others that has already expired. For something that you probably consume everyday, why isn’t there a credit card that can get you some deals on that daily cup of Joe?
Except that there is. We searched through the plethora of credit cars available here in Singapore to bring you these credit cards that reward coffee-drinkers the most. Thats either a credit card that gives you a daily saving, which all adds-up, or reward cards that give you 1-for-1 offers and coffee discounts at the point of purchase.

Of course, this is not the only enticing deal, because the card is a great all-round cashback card for those who wants a flat-rate cashback with no minimum spending or cap on amount of cashback.
So if you are looking to make a little saving and you couldn’t possibly remove your daily coffee, then at least get some cashback when you buy your next double espresso, with the American Express True Cashback card – Easy really!
Citibank SMRT Card
The Citibank SMRT card is a great card for everyday spending as it rewards you with rebates for stuff that you’d spend on usually, like transport, groceries and coffee! The best way to optimise your rebates earn rate is to have a minimum spending of $600 per month, which can be easily achieved if you put your monthly bills, grocery spend and dining bills on the card.
Spending on any of these gourmet coffee shops – Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Coffee Club, Dome Cafe, TCC and Gloria Jean’s will earn you up to 15% rebate. You’ll earn 10% rebate from Citi Rebate, and 5% from SMRT$. Do take note that a minimum spending of $10 is needed at Starbucks to earn the 10% rebate though, so the best could be to use it to top up your Starbucks membership card!
UOB One Card
Already known as one of the best cashback credit cards in Singapore for high spenders, the UOB One card also allows you to join the UOB SMART$ Rebate Programme to earn some extra cash back when you take a coffee break.
Basically, the UOB SMART$ works like regular dollars where each SMRT$ equals to S$1. The earn rate is however different for different merchants. The list is of course, not just limited to cafes, but also a host of other dining and retail outlets.
For coffee-specific spending, you get to earn a 10% rebate at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as well as Beanstro. Spending at Polar Puffs and cakes (they serve coffee too!) earns you 2% rebate, and spending at Dutch Colony Coffee Co, as well as the 1872 Clipper Tea Co. at Pasarbella at the Grandstand gives you a 1% rebate.
As you can see, the perks for coffee lovers ain’t really great with these credit cards, except if you take advantage of special one-time offers. One of the reasons could be that spending on coffee is deemed to be quite small in the grand scheme of things, but if you can use your credit card to top up your coffee cards at participating outlets, the rebates could actually work out to a cup or two of free cuppa!
