For a start, the sale event of the year has been extended to 10 weeks this time round, ending on Sunday, 14 August so as to coincide with some key activities and festivals. Exciting Events to Look Forward to

For a start, there are a number of exciting themed events that are coinciding with the GSS this year. Other than the usual mall events that usually happen over the weekends, consumers can look out for specialty event such as Singapore’s first coffee festival, Beerfest Asia 2016, the Singapore International Jewelry Expo, Asia Pacific Furniture Fair 2016, as well as Singapore Food Festival. UnionPay – Card of GSS 2016

There has been a change in the official card sponsor for the GSS this year. GSS in the last few years has been sponsored by Mastercard, but this year, the official card of the event is UnionPay. While less well-known than other card issuers like Visa, Mastercard or Amex, UnionPay does offer a number of exclusive deals during the GSS, even beyond just shopping privileges.

Some of these include department stores like BHG, OG and Tangs, fashion brands such as Michael Kors, Ferragamo, Topshop and Hugo Boss, luxury watches and jewellery shops like Dickson Watch & jewellery, Tissot and Lee Hwa Jewellery, beauty shops like Biotherm, Kimrobinson and the Fullerton Spa, as well as F&B and hotel deals.
